Lovely antique ironstone transfer ware lidded sugar bowl by W. H. Grindley & Co.,
still suitable for storing sugar and/or doubles nicely for small utensils or vase for fresh cut florals / herbs!

Amazing black aesthetic floral & intricate leaf transfer ware design… pattern covers both sides and wraps fully around bowl at bottom, top and lid adapting to a scalloped border along the top and bottom edges and linear floral on three handles

Bottom maker stamp:
W. H. Grindley & Co., Rd ‘DAISY’ | 39562 | Tunstall C 1850 - 1899

6.5” H x 6.5” W handle to handle x 3.5” D
In very good antique condition, as found and separate air hole in the lid for air flow |
note there are areas of wear & lightly tinged spots to finish which are commensurate with age of piece
