Menaggio, depicting a washing day scene taking place on the shore of Lake Como, Italy
This piece is pencil signed in the lower right by artist Claude Hamilton Rowbotham
(1864 - 1949) Best known for aquatints based on travels around the country and abroad:
Cornwall, Devon, Lake District, Yorkshire, Italy, and Scotland)
This is a sought after aquatint by this artist and a limited edition aquatint as is indicated on the back side original label:

Edition strictly limited to 100 signed artist’s proofs
Framed under glass in original finely carved wooden frame with a lovely crisp wide matte |
existing back paper and authenticity label | date would be late 1800’s to early 1900’s

In excellent vintage condition, as found | artwork is framed in it’s original frame as found with existing matte and back paper | ready to hang
