This is an extremely charming antique jointed teddy bear in excellent condition with original sewn in label and key chest tag, by Marty Bumala for Waverly Crossing Bears, c 1920’s
Original pads and hand stitching on limbs, hands, feet, nose and mouth / with lovely round glass eyes - A very handsome character & highly collectible teddy bear
Construction is natural mohair wool over a brown linen body | head / neck and limbs are jointed and are fully adjustable and still move with relative ease
Bear has pronounced hump in upper back and long narrow elongated limbs found in early pre-1930’s bears
13” H seated / 14” with ears / approx 23” L
In excellent antique condition, as found; sits freely & does not fall over; signs of previous use & light wear are commensurate with age
