ANTIQUE 'BEAD OVAL & FAN' PRESSED GLASS LATE VICTORIAN 'SPOONER' VESSEL | DIAMOND FLINT C 1903
RARE: Antique Victorian pressed glass footed ‘spooner’ vessel originally meant to hold spoons on the table next to the sugar bowl
This pattern is known as Beaded Oval and Fan, by Diamond Flint Glass Co #208; c 1903
Manufactured from a three piece mold, the age of the spooner is evident by the rough seams
The Diamond Glass Company originated in 1890 in Montreal
Works for spoons, mixed flatware &/or doubles as a pretty flower vase; really beautiful
substantial piece with unique surface texture
5” H x 3.5” D
In excellent antique condition, as found; heavy pressed glass & water tight
