ANTIQUE BRASS VICTORIAN CARD TRAY

Here’s a shapely & scenic antique brass card or trinket tray that would have previously been a smoking or calling card tray | Art Nouveau design and characteristics; maybe French
An unusual piece which is cast with a figural scene of a boy and a girl with a pipe
Tray has three oval brass rests and an elaborate carry handle which may be a creature, the three original rests were presumably for a pipe or cigarettes
Cannot find any further information on this piece but its lovely and very unusual;
I suspect is Art Nouveau and from approximately 1940
8.25” W x 6” D x .75” H
In excellent vintage condition, as found; lovely aged patina on this one!
