Incredible RARE & VERY OLD antique Royal ironstone platter by W. H. Grindley & Co., ENGLAND
This is a large and shapely platter with a beautiful lilac pink scalloped border & raised relief embellished beaded rim with flowers | this may have had a gold leaf hand painted rim and a flourish medallion motif in the centre, traces of it are still there | dates from around the mid to late 1800’s
16” L x 12” W
In very good vintage condition, as found; weighty & solid, ready to use: some surface
& age related wear to this piece, one small underside chip; commensurate with age
