The legendary Lincoln Imp is a carved stone grotesque figure in Lincoln Cathedral in London England and has long been a widely popular figure in England, represented with cloven feet, and an impish toothy grin. Ancient folklore has it that the mischievous imp was sent by Satan himself to the cathedral to wreak havoc but was turned to stone by an angel.
