ANTIQUE ROUND SEWING BOX WITH VELVET NEEDLE CUSHION LID

A sweet little two piece sewing box with a velvet pin cushion lid & silver metal band detail;
Marked ‘JAPAN’ I Research suggests this item dates from the 1940’s and was likely made during the ‘occupied Japan’ period which lasted from 1945-1952

Lower portion is a round corrugate box with a pink lining and has original thread spools and a needle inside | Upper portion is blue velvet pin / needle cushion

The inside is clean and remarkably well preserved

2.5” D x 1.5” H
In very good antique condition, as found; with some wear / chipped paint patina
commensurate with age; box opens and closes well
*do not purchase unless you like and appreciate this type of old & special salvaged item
