Here is an extremely charming small rectangular early transfer serving/meat platter,
by J MP Bell Company, Glasgow, Scotland; pattern ‘ITALIAN LAKES’ dating from the mid 1800’s & featuring a scenic mandolin player by the lake

Has a gorgeous faded denim blue transfer colour… quite amazing for it’s age… perfect for entertaining & especially nice mixed together with other shabby transfer ware dishes!

10.75” L x 9” D
In excellent antique condition; as found; platter has light crazing & discoloured
underside, some light areas on front but so lovely | *please see photos
Do not purchase unless you appreciate perfectly imperfect charm
